Windsor Castle Guided Tour

… We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit!  It is going to be a bit hard getting back to reality Monday morning – however, just answering my emails this morning brings me to reality quite quickly.  We would like to thank you for your outstanding services during our visit to England.  Your guide, Michael, was most knowledgeable!  But we were also most impressed with your "flexibility" in working with us to create our own itinerary for the 6 of us.  And we do appreciate the assistance and tour on our way to Portsmouth via Stonehenge.

Stephanie Ann Kiziukiewicz, New Jersey, USA.

Chief among Windsor attractions, the castle itself is Her Majesty the Queen's official residence, and one of her favourite homes. Originally built by William the Conqueror shortly after the Norman Conquest, monarchs have been married, imprisoned and buried within its majestic surroundings throughout the intervening centuries.

Visiting the Windsor Ccastle complex, wander through the sumptuous State Apartments, home to the Queen's extensive private art collection. Open to the public when the royal family is away, these elegant rooms were restored following a devastating fire in 1992.

See and admire the intricate delights of Queen Mary's Dolls House, a gift to the then Queen in 1923.

Soak up the atmosphere of St George's Chapel, dating originally from 1348 and the castle's place of worship and chapel of the Order of the Garter. In 2005 the Chapel saw the blessing of Prince Charles's marriage to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Just over the River Thames is Eton College, England's most famous school and alma mater of a host of players on the world stage, including Princes William, and Harry, as well as Britain's most famous warrior, the Duke of Wellington. Its pupils wear the distinctive black tailcoated Eton College uniforms, and the school boasts a unique scenic riverside location.

An unmissable visit.
