Mikro Tours offers the discerning visitor the chance to enjoy the capital's many magnificent sights in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will cater for your particular tastes and interests.
Naturally, the tour will include those must-see London tourist attractions, such as Buckingham Palace, home of kings and queens for more than two centuries and seen of many royal weddings and celebrations.
This is where the Queen's soldiers regularly perform the ancient Changing of the Guard ceremony, where dressed in their distinctive red tunics and bearskin Busby helmets they march accompanied by the stirring tunes of a military band.
A similar ceremony can also be viewed at Horseguards Parade, though here as the name suggests the soldiers are members of the cavalry mounted on horses.
In fact though Buckingham Palace is the best known of the London palaces, there are many others, be it Kensington Palace, where Princess Diana lived, or The Tower of London, a royal palace for nearly 1,000 years. It is here that the Queen's magnificent Crown Jewels are stored under the watchful gaze of the Beefeaters.
Another must-see visitor attraction is magnificent Westminster Abbey, setting for numerous coronations, other royal occasions such as Princess Diana' funeral and the resting place for legions of monarchs and other notable Britons, such as Sir Isaac Newton.
The Abbey lies is next door to the seat of British government, The Palace of Westminster, home to the Houses of Parliament and probably the world's most famous clock tower Big Ben.
Here at Mikro Tours, we also specialise in showing visitors the sights of the original City of London, the 'Square Mile' to the east of Westminster, where London was founded by the Romans.
Apart from the numerous artefacts of Roman London, such as the sturdy wall they built, visitors to the City can also see St Paul's Cathedral, Sir Christopher Wren's famously domed masterpiece, built following the Great Fire of 1666.
It was here that Charles and Diana married in 1981, and is also the burial place of military heroes Wellington and Nelson, the victorious admiral famous for his column in Trafalgar Square.
The City also house The Guildhall, London's municipal headquarters for 800 years and also home to a Roman amphitheatre and engaging art galleries.
Indeed we can take Gallery visitors and museum lovers as a whole to view some of the many London has to offer, including the South Kensington museums, such as the Natural History and Victoria and Albert, the latter being named after the queen and consort who did much to establish the area as a museum centre.
The Prince Consort himself is commemorated nearby at the splendidly gilded Albert Memorial, just one of many monuments to be found in the Royal Parks.
Mikro Tours will be very happy to show you these or any other London tourist attraction during your stay here. For more details, or to book a tour, call us on +44 (0) 20 8959 9696 or complete the online booking request form ... Soon.
